Good Grief provided a dedicated, safe space abundant with compassion, care, sensitivity, empathy, understanding, patience and gentleness. Often, the group was reminded of several key components which are paramount to proper healing following loss. One is protecting one’s peace and another is acknowledging that the details entailed in each and every individual’s grief process (i.e. emotional state, reactions or perceived lack thereof, rate and ability to move forward, etc.) are uniquely tied to the individual and should be respected, including by the individual themself.<\/b> Undergirded by the sincere and non-judgmental listening ears, heart and engagement extended by Good Grief Support Services, I personally became equipped, empowered, encouraged, grounded and positioned to focus and resume life with a new normal. Some days that new normal is easier than others; however, I believe the many nuggets I gained through the grief coaching has afforded me the much needed traction to navigate through my grief journey on a personal level at my own pace.
